About Martin

Martin Hanna is the Head Golf Professional and Co-Owner of Rolling Hills Golf Club in Lapeer, MI. He started as a bag room attendant while working at Paint Creek CC in Lake Orion, MI. Working under his mentor Steve Vickery, PGA Life Member. Martin worked through 3 different roles including Assistant Golf Professional. After passing the PGA’s Playing Ability Test and qualifying levels, Martin was promoted to Head Golf Professional of Paint Creek Country Club. The PAT involves completing two rounds of golf (back to back- 36 holes). His Two 18-hole scores from rounds played at PGA-sanctioned Bedford Valley CC in Battle Creek, MI +4, fulfilled the 36-hole PAT requirement. Martin is known as an extraordinary Teaching Professional and is well recognized in the Metro Detroit Area as a very passionate and relentless individual. He has shown great success with his quick progression with his exemplary golf swing but more importantly achieving a milestone of reaching 1200 Students in 2025. His coaching that is reflected by his students’ improvements, feedback and success stories. Martin is a natural mentor and brings his own style of development and communication to the learning experience to play better golf.

With extreme passion and enthusiasm, Martin’s goal is to simplify the swing into a more accessible and natural feel. He helps you understand your swing tendencies and assures immediate positive results. Through his own Creativity and Knowledge, He’s able explain the corrections needed and how to perform them. His main attribute is paying very close attention to detail which leads to the immediate improvement.
